For 11 years OKINAMI has been renowned for its excellent food, relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. OKINAMI was The First Japanese Restaurant in Sussex and is still the most authentic Japanese culinary experience in the area. Our menu suits both those who are new to Japanese food, and the experienced Japanese diner, our staff are always on hand to advise.

At OKINAMI two fundamental principles of Japanese cooking are paramount, the quality and freshness of ingredients. All our food is freshly prepared and it shows. We serve a full range of Japanese cuisine, from exceptionally fresh sushi and sashimi, to an extensive range of grilled and fried dishes.

We are featured in several design books, both for our interior design, and for the graphic identity created for us by GTF. GTF are a leading design company who have designed for Habitat and produced exhibitions for The British Council and The Institute of Contemporary Arts.
